even my tiny toe supports more hardware than vista, seriously... "Are you sure?" -> yes."Might contain virus, are you sure?" -> yes."Are you absolutely sure?" -> yes.and then after a dozen clicks and installing appropriate software and hardware, it still won't work on vista >_>

linux doesnt have the driver(manufacturing) backing as windows does. my new mother board is not supported yet, but both of my older laptops work without any problems. try it on a system that is about 1-2 years old. the bleeding edge hardware doesnt always work.
